There are some retro production and arrangement touches that are so rarely heard (post-2002 or so - e.g., the dry electric guitar tone), yet so expertly deployed here. As an example, the combinations of some of the soft pads with harsh saw waves is sublime. There is often plenty of space in the mix for the arrangement to breathe, giving many tracks a warm 70's electronic feel.
I recommend sampling tracks 2,3,8,13 to get a quick feel for the album. Wonderful stuff. Favorite track: Fairness & Light.
